Board Secretary

Eunice is a dedicated registered nurse with over seven years of experience delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Her work is grounded in a commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, addressing health disparities, and expanding mental health resources for disadvantaged and underserved populations.

Currently, she is pursuing her degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on helping to destigmatize mental health within communities. She strongly believes that physical and mental health are interconnected, and that both are essential to overall well-being.

Driven by a desire to be the change she wishes to see, Eunice is passionate about empowering individuals and families through education, advocacy, and equitable care. She believes that healthy mothers and healthy families are the foundation of strong communities, and that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right that should be attainable for all.

Eunice, a Pennsylvania native, relocated to Delaware in 2021. She remains actively engaged in community and volunteer initiatives across both Pennsylvania and Delaware. As a member of the Theta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, Eunice is committed to advancing healthy communities through service, education, collaboration, leadership, and advocacy.

Eunice joined the Black Mothers in Power Board of Directors in 2026 where she holds the office of Board Secretary.

Why I Serve

“My ‘why’ for serving on the board of Black Mothers in Power is rooted in my commitment to creating safer, more informed, and more empowered communities for Black mothers and all birthing individuals. As a nurse, I have seen the importance of ensuring that individuals feel heard, respected, supported, and safe when navigating the healthcare system. I believe everyone deserves access to quality care and the knowledge and resources needed to advocate for themselves and their families.

Through my service with Black Mothers in Power, I want to use my healthcare knowledge, leadership, and passion for education to help connect our community with meaningful resources, health education, and support. I am especially passionate about promoting maternal and mental health awareness, encouraging self-advocacy, increasing health literacy, and helping families understand the resources available to them throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.

Ultimately, my ‘why’ is about helping create a community where Black mothers and all birthing individuals feel safe, informed, empowered, and supported. Serving on this board gives me an opportunity to turn my commitment to health equity and community education into action while helping ensure that no individual feels overlooked, unheard, or unsupported.”
