Amari Grant
BMIP Intern
My name is Amari Grant, and I am a senior public health major at Delaware State University. I decided to complete an internship under Black Mothers In Power because I have long admired the mission of this organization and the impact this team manages to make on individuals every day.
I am passionate about uplifting the Black community and creating opportunities for us to excel. I have a particular interest in maternal health that I plan to explore more in depth in my post-college endeavors.
My university has provided countless opportunities to pursue this vision through community service organizations I am a member of including, the Fairy God Sisters, the National Council of Negro Women, the National Society of Black Women in Medicine, a board member for Nurturing through Nursing, and a recent initiate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, and quality time with my loved ones..
