BMIP Doula Skills Day: Potluck Edition

Join us for a special Doula Skills Day + Community Potluck inspired by our current book club read, The First Forty Days. As we build skills, we’ll also be honoring the postpartum period as a sacred time of nourishment, care, and collective support.

What to Expect:
Trained, experienced Doulas will act as birthing people to help Doulas in training practice:

  • Pain management techniques

  • Counter pressure techniques

  • Identifying labor symptoms & signs

  • Packing a Doula bag and more

We'll work through real-life scenarios, small group hands-on activities, and open Q&A. Our goal is to make sure BMIP Doulas in training feel prepared and confident as they move forward in their certification journey.

Plus:
Bring a dish to share! We’ll gather in the spirit of The First Forty Days to eat, build community, and celebrate our shared work in maternal health.

Who can come?

  • Free for BMIP Doulas in training

  • $10 for BMIP member Doulas

  • $20 for non-BMIP member Doulas
