Kristina Kelly

Community Organizer | Activist | Advocate for Justice

Kristina Kelly is a dedicated activist and community leader in Delaware whose work centers on equity, accountability, and amplifying marginalized voices. As a mother, small business owner, and active volunteer, Kristina brings a grounded perspective to her advocacy - she knows that policies impact real people and families.

Her activism began following the tragic death of Jeremy McDole, and since then Kristina has been deeply involved in reforms to policing and justice systems. She co-led protest actions and engaged in public accountability efforts, including a high-profile lawsuit with the Attorney General’s office, which the ACLU of Delaware supported to defend First Amendment rights for protesters. Beyond protests, Kristina uses her skills as a researcher and data analyst to support policy-focused organizations and coalitions pushing for systemic change in law enforcement oversight and transparency. She is also involved in NOCAP (Neighbors Organized for Credibility and Accountability in Policing) in Delaware, contributing to efforts such as a statewide police misconduct survey to collect data and inform reform. Wilmington’s City Council formally honored her in 2022 for her commitment and service to the community.

Kristina joins the Black Mothers in Power board with a steadfast belief in advocacy through lived experience. She is committed to using her voice, platform, and analytical skills to uplift Black mothers, protect their rights, and build systems rooted in dignity, justice, and community leadership.
