Position Title: Resident Manager - Sisterhood Transitional Housing
Reports To: Program Director
Employment Type: Part-Time; 4-hour & 8 hour shifts (multiple shifts available throughout the day); On-Call
Compensation: $22–$25/hour (based on experience)
Location: Wilmington, Delaware
Position Summary
The Resident Manager plays a key role in maintaining a supportive and structured environment in a transitional housing program for women and families. Working in flexible 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, the Resident Manager oversees household safety, supports residents’ personal goals, and ensures smooth program operations. The position requires compassion, accountability, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & House Management
Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized household environment
Enforce house rules (e.g., curfew, visitor policy, cleanliness standards)
Conduct routine walkthroughs and room checks
Address resident concerns and mediate minor conflicts
Use the Atto app to clock in and out for each shift
Administrative & Program Support
Manage and update the resident waitlist
Assist with resident interviews and new resident onboarding
Host weekly house meetings (rotated among team)
Create and monitor individual case plans for each resident
Refer and connect residents to local services and resources (housing,
therapy, jobs, etc.)
Conduct quarterly one-on-one reviews with each resident
Maintain accurate shift logs and incident reports
Team Collaboration
Communicate with the Program Director and case management team
Attend monthly staff meetings and trainings as needed
Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 1–2 years experience in shelter, transitional housing, behavioral health, or similar
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and conflict de-escalation
Strong communication, time management, and boundary-setting skills
Ability to work independently and follow structured protocols
Must pass a background check
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation
$22–$25/hour, based on experience
