Shonda Darby

Substance Use Navigator

With over six years of experience in the mental health and drug & alcohol field, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals on their path to healing and self-sufficiency. My journey began in 2013, working with adults with disabilities, where I discovered a true passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve.

Driven by my dedication to helping others, I pursued higher education and earned an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from Delaware Technical Community College in Spring 2022, along with a Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate. I continued my educational path through Del Tech’s Connect Program and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Wilmington University. While at WilmU, I also earned a certificate in Trauma-Informed Approaches, further enhancing my ability to support individuals with compassion and understanding.

For the past four years, I’ve held leadership roles where I’ve had the opportunity to guide and support both clients and teams. I take pride in serving diverse populations and am passionate about fostering positive change in the lives of those affected by mental health and substance use challenges.
